As the legal cannabis industry continues its rapid growth, competition has become fierce. Suddenly Quest, an established brand of dehumidification equipment for indoor growing, found themselves competing against hungry upstarts who were jumping into the category with fresh energy. Further complicating their efforts - Google and Facebook, the two biggest ad networks, do not allow cannabis advertising on their platforms.
LSB’s first order of business: elevate Quest’s brand identity system to signal their category leadership position. Next, LSB developed a solution to the Google/Facebook blockade: a thought leadership strategy to position Quest as the undisputed category captain that leveraged earned media vs. paid media.
