Designing a fresh, floral look for a new French bistro.
When the owner/operator of a restaurant on Madison’s iconic Capitol Square approached LSB, she was preparing to relaunch after three shuttered months. Trish Davis had a new business model, a new name and a brand story in mind. What she needed was a visual identity to match the brand story.
The new Mercí is a concept based on the appreciation of French food. Simple, modern, warm, friendly and approachable. Floral and botanic motifs, French blue, and sans-serif fonts one might recognize from Paris represent not just French aesthetics, but also evoke the essential farm-to-table sensibility.
