Branding a local, Colorado-inspired brewpub.
When a local restaurant changed owners, they wanted to overhaul the name and branding to better reflect the design of the space – Colorado A-frame inspired architecture, but with a modern edge. They chose the name Boulder to reinforce the connection to Colorado and to further inspire the new look and feel of the restaurant, but they needed a branding system that represented it. They were in love with several different elements: barrels, a-frame graphics and mountains.
Using simple but strong typography in the wordmark allowed for additional branding elements to be used in different places and feel fresh and cohesive. The color palette was chosen to feel rustic, yet modern. Patterns and illustrations add textural qualities and add to the richness of the design.
