Lindsay, Stone & Briggs honored with Gold Graphis Award


Madison, Wis.—Lindsay, Stone & Briggs (LSB) won a Gold Graphis for its creative work for Jazz at 5, Madison’s series of free outdoor jazz concerts. The winning poster “Improvisation” will be included in the Graphis Advertising Annual 2011, a collection of the best internationally produced advertising work of 2010.

The poster, titled “Improvisation,” features a man in a jumpsuit and aeronautical goggles standing on his roof.  He has a rocket strapped to his back and is about to jump.  The copy reads, “Improvisation. Best left to musicians.” 

The poster is part of an integrated campaign for Jazz at 5 that demonstrates how improvisation is often best left to the professionals. The campaign includes posters, newspaper, outdoor and online advertising. LSB won two Gold Graphis for its “Noodles” and “Kitchen” Jazz at 5 posters earlier this year.

LSB has enjoyed a relationship with Jazz at 5 for over 10 years and donated the work for this campaign.
