LSB Unveils Inspiring Brand Identity for the International Forgiveness Institute
MADISON, Wis. –Lindsay, Stone & Briggs (LSB), a Madison, Wis.-based advertising agency, has created an inspiring brand positioning and corporate identity for the International Forgiveness Institute, a globally-recognized organization dedicated to researching, exploring and advocating forgiveness.
“We created a brand positioning and corporate identity that reflects the life-changing work the Institute accomplishes each day,” said Bill Winchester, creative director at LSB. “The positioning reflects how the Institute changes lives through forgiveness. The logo specifically demonstrates how when you forgive another you’re actually freeing yourself.”
The logo features light blue and green wings—symbolizing the lightness and freedom experienced once a person lets go of the resentment, forgiving oneself and anyone binding them to that anger.
The Institute, established in 1994 as a private, non-profit organization, is a product of research done at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1985 by Dr. Robert Enright and his colleagues. Dr. Enright created the first scientifically proven forgiveness program in the country and has been called “the forgiveness trailblazer” by Time Magazine. The Institute disseminates research about forgiveness; helps individuals and families explore and implement forgiveness, and has provided forgiveness education to more than 25,000 elementary school students in Madison, Milwaukee and Belfast, Northern Ireland.
