Lindsay, Stone & Briggs Gives SECURA Insurance an Advantage

MADISON, Wis. - Lindsay, Stone & Briggs' (LSB) new print campaign for SECURA Insurance Companies bring humor to the insurance category. The ads build on the "Success is Finding an Advantage" campaign launched in November 2006, that targets independent insurance agents with a simple message: SECURA gives agents the advantage they need to achieve success.

"We wanted to bring some humor to a category where most of the ads are pretty serious. We did so by creating metaphors that dramatize an advantage in fresh and humorous ways," said Bill Winchester, LSB's VP/Creative Director. "For instance, if you want a distinct advantage in talking your way out of a speeding ticket, always have a donut handy."

"We were looking for a fresh way to communicate with independent agents," said Jean Van Den Brandt, SECURA Insurance Director of Marketing, "LSB's use of humor in these ads engages the reader and conveys a message that SECURA is a company that agents want to do business with."

SECURA, an Appleton, Wis.-based mutual property and casualty insurance company hired Madison, Wis.-based LSB in 2006. The three new print ads will replace the campaign's initial three ads and will continue to run in publications targeting independent insurance agents starting in September.
